Sales Agent
Modest. Conscientious. Achievement Oriented. Curious. Persistent. A strong sense of duty and a desire to be of service. Immaculate presentation.
Real Estate Agents perform a range of duties which vary depending on their area of specialisation, the type of property, and their level of experience. These responsibilities may include:
As a Real Estate Agent, you will need to be available at times that suit your clients and buyers. While working hours can be flexible, you may need to be regularly ‘on-call’ in order to be accessible to existing or potential clients.
Real Estate Agents are required to work on weekends to conduct property inspections, auctions and open houses, or show properties to buyers. Real Estate Agents can spend a large proportion of their time handling business outside of a traditional office environment.
Entry Requirements
The first step to work in real estate or to become a licensed real estate agent (Certificate IV in Property Services) is to complete the relevant entry course in your state. For example, in Victoria, the entry level course is the Agent’s Representative course.
Once you have this qualification, it all about finding the right place and the right people to join that are going to develop and support you on your journey.
We hear too often about people starting in real estate who are expected to yield great results and are given little direction. This results in good people leaving the industry prematurely. Know your why and find your tribe with the right vibe!
